Oceania - feel like a vip

By Sue Stricker

I was very fortunate to get to experience the beautiful Oceania Vista on her inaugural West Coast sailing from San Pedro near Los Angeles.

The Oceania Vista

The reason I was excited to participate in this cruise was to see how cruising was on a small luxury line such as Oceania.

The Vista is 67,000 tons and with only 1,200 passengers spread over 15 decks. The Vista offers a wide range of culinary options, from cafĂ© style eateries to fabulous 5-star restaurants and wine pairings.  With Michelin star chefs on board, you will not be disappointed in the cuisine offered!

culinary treats!

There was never an issue finding a perfect spot to relax and unwind anywhere on the ship. Friendly crew members offering a wide range of beverages were on hand at all times.

The spa area was just beautiful.  Clean, uncrowded and perfect for any kind of pampering you could wish for. I particularly enjoyed the therapy pool.

My cabin was wonderful.  Comfortable bedding and the largest bathroom I have seen on a cruise ship, the shower was big enough for 4 people!

One perk I did really enjoy was the access to still or sparkling water via water bottle filling stations, with of course your own complimentary bottle.  These added touches really felt special.

Embarkation and dis-embarkation went very smoothly and trouble free, it was just hard to leave such a stunning vessel.

Oceania sure makes you feel like a VIP, with fantastic service, fabulous food along with the feeling of luxury without the stuffiness.  I would highly recommend it!
